The Camino Network Foundation has made significant strides in recent months, driven by a focus on innovation, community engagement, and strategic partnerships across the web3 travel ecosystem, all in anticipation of the CAM token launch. In line with our commitment to transparent communication, I am excited to share key achievements and milestones from various areas of development.
Here is an update on the fast-growing Camino Network ecosystem, backed by over 200 supporters, 100+ validators, and 50+ builders actively developing innovative travel solutions.
The Camino Messenger has gone live on the mainnet and continues to take shape with the addition of new message types, evolving bot versions, and more partners connecting to exchange data for fluent travel product distribution. Lufthansa Group is one of many travel corporations testing the Messenger as a new distribution channel.
Yessin Schiegg, previously working at the Ethereum Foundation Advisory Board and BlackRock joined the Camino Network Foundation as a Council Member. His expertise in tokenomics and the web3 economy will help guide the network’s development and play a pivotal role as we approach the CAM token listing.
Engagement is at an all-time high, with over 50 active builders from established travel brands like Lufthansa, MTS, and Finmont developing cutting-edge B2B and B2C products. The network now exceeds 230,000 live transactions on the mainnet.
Camino Network has successfully integrated with Fireblocks, a leading platform for digital asset management. This integration allows Camino Network to provide its token holders with secure access to over 2,000 institutional liquidity partners, trading venues, and counterparties on the Fireblocks Network. This enterprise-grade infrastructure provides an extra layer of security, efficiency, and scalability for digital transactions within the travel industry. This integration also marks a critical milestone in the roadmap, supporting both the expansion of CAM token use and the broader adoption of web3 technologies in the travel ecosystem.
Camino Network was selected for Outlier Ventures' token launch program, Ascent. This strategic partnership aims to enhance CAM token market position and broaden its reach within the web3 space.
The Camino Network Foundation partnered with the VNTR to organize the Investors Roundtable at Token2049 Singapore on September 19, 2024. This event brought together top-tier investors and innovators to explore opportunities in web3 and blockchain. Attendees gained unique insights into how Camino Network drives collaboration and innovation in the multi-trillion-dollar travel sector.
Through our collaboration with Tectris VC, we are investing in the future of web3 travel startups. Recent finalists from the Web3 Travel Startup Competition showcased their blockchain-based solutions at the CV Summit, securing a prize of up to $250k to help reshape the travel industry. Tectris has already committed to a second batch, with specifics to be announced by the end of 2024.
The Camino Network website underwent a significant upgrade, enhancing user experience and functionality and preparing for the CAM token launch planned for Q4 2024.
With these achievements, Camino Network is poised for continued growth. The focus on product innovation, strategic partnerships, and community engagement sets a strong foundation for the upcoming token launch and future adoption of web3 technologies in the travel industry.
